In Santander we call "Mulata" a variety of black and square-shaped crab that likes to live among the rocks of the docks and piers, and in the bays in general. Mulattoes are inexcusable victims of all the kids who, at low tide, entertain themselves with their fishing. The mulatto is one of the few crustaceans that are not eaten, and as a tribute to their fond childhood memory, our restaurant is named after them.
La Mulata is located in a gastronomic area par excellence such as Puertochico, in Santander. It has two dining rooms with capacity for 120 diners. Minimalist decoration, with a predominance of blue sea and an enormous sensation of light. Efficient service, well adapted to all types of customers, from people who work in the surrounding area and visit us daily, to families on weekends or the youngest.
